Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Hate City ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. Hate City is operated by NorseHorse ("we," "us," "our").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hate City. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

3. Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address and verify it before posting content. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not impersonate another person or create accounts for the purpose of harassment or evasion of bans.

4. User-Generated Content

Hate City is a platform for expressing opinions and personal experiences about products, services, celebrities, and politicians. All content posted represents the personal opinion of the user, not factual reporting.

By posting content, you grant NorseHorse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the App and for marketing purposes. You retain ownership of your content.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. You agree not to post content that:

• Contains threats of violence or incites violence against any person or group
• Constitutes hate speech targeting protected characteristics (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin)
• Contains harassment, bullying, or targeted abuse of private individuals
• Includes personal private information of others (doxxing)
• Contains sexually explicit material or child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Makes knowingly false statements of fact presented as truth (defamation)
• Infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
• Constitutes spam, scams, or commercial solicitation

5. Content Moderation

We employ a three-tier moderation system including AI pre-screening, community reporting, and human review. We reserve the right to remove any content and take action against any account that violates these Terms, including temporary or permanent suspension.

Users may appeal moderation decisions through the in-app appeal process. Appeals are reviewed within 48 hours by a different moderator than the one who took the original action.

6. Criticism of Public Figures

Hate City permits criticism of celebrities and politicians in their public roles. This includes commentary on their public statements, professional performance, policy positions, and public conduct. Criticism must relate to their public persona and actions. Personal attacks on their families, unverified claims of criminal activity, and attacks based on protected characteristics are prohibited.

7. Subscriptions & Purchases

Hate City offers optional paid subscriptions ("Rage Pass") through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment is processed by Apple. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be purged within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any user-generated content. We are not responsible for the opinions expressed by users.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NorseHorse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NorseHorse from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Shelby County, Alabama.
